Litchfield National Park
Pick Up and Drop off location and time can be organised to fit in with your specific group requirements.
Fitness requirement – Some walking, minimal steps. Walking aids are suitable for the vehicle and the walks.
Vehicle is not wheelchair accessible
Minimum Group size 16 persons - We are not working with any On Board Travel Agents, so we appreciate your assistance to reach minimum group size. Please note multiple groups of 20 can be arranged for the same day.
Itinerary:
Depart Darwin, and heading South on the Stuart Highway, we make our way to the Litchfield National Park.
Upon arrival in the park, we will make a stop at the Litchfield Tourist Park café for fresh coffee and freshen up in the Western style restrooms. (Coffee not included)
On the way in we will visit and learn about the Majestic termite Mounds, their formation, community and value to our unique Territory Eco system.
Mid morning, we will take the Boardwalk track through the lush Monsoon forest, at the impressive Wangi Falls. Here you will learn the Ancient stories of the people and the land, as well as seeing for yourself, the magnificence of the Falls and natural swimming pools.
A freshly prepared picnic lunch will be served up in a shaded spot in a Beautiful Bush setting, in the park itself, near Wangi Falls.
After lunch we will drive on to Florence Falls another of the spectacular waterways set amongst surrounding Bushland. At Florence Falls, a double flowing waterfall, we will walk to the top lookout with an accessible view point of the magical falls and fresh water swimming pool.
Then we head on to Buley Rockhole. A series of cascading waterfalls where you can relax and go for a dip, before freshening up and departing back for Darwin.
Swimming is optional and dependant on time constraints and Seasonal Conditions.
