One Day Kakadu Tour Itinerary - Nourlangie and Yellow Waters

The drive into Kakadu, as the sun is rising, will set the mood for a truly spectacular day. The travel is now through Kakadu and our destination this morning is in the Nourlangie region of Kakadu. From the parking area we walk through open savannah woodlands towards the western side of Burrunggui (Nourlangie Rock), this is a 1.7 kilometre walk to a quiet Aboriginal art site that is sure to impress. We take our time here before returning to our vehicle and taking a short drive to the Nawurlandja lookout. This is a steep 600 metre return walk which provides views of Burrunggui rising up out of the woodlands and onto the Arnhem land escarpment.
After a picnic lunch we make our way to the Yellow Waters Billabong, for our afternoon Cruise. Here we will be immersed in the midst of this vast Wetlands, covering 680 000 hectares. The Yellow Waters Billabong is teaming with Wildlife, where the variety of species rely on the waterway for their food and water. Your Guide will take you across the water, whilst sharing with you their vast knowledge of the Region.
